The Maroua Regional Hospital Center (CHRM) located in the Far North region of Cameroon is a second-tier healthcare facility attached to the Ministry of Public Health. Established in January 2022 and operational since 2024, its vision is to provide better patient care thanks to the support of trained, motivated staff who are ready to deliver high-quality, safe care in a humane environment. To meet the needs and expectations of patients and other stakeholders, whose requirements are constantly changing, the management and all medical staff are committed to providing a response tailored to their needs in a context of optimal safety and continuous improvement of care, in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The development of the quality policy in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 was guided by considerations with the following objectives:

• Ensure the management of staff in terms of quality and quantity for the performance of operational activities.
• Optimize the application of protocols and procedures within all units to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Ensure a reliable patient safety mechanism within the CHRM.
• Ensure the reliability of biomedical equipment for medical operations.

To successfully implement this policy and achieve its objectives, management is committed to providing all the necessary resources for the continuous improvement of patient care and the Quality Management System. The Quality Manager, assisted by process leaders, is responsible for monitoring and steering the project to ensure its smooth running. The achievement of quality objectives will be analyzed on an ongoing basis, with an annual review during the Management Review. Management calls on all staff to support and participate in this highly strategic project to ensure its complete success.
